Listed buildings

AHP provides expert advice for owners and developers on listed buildings and related planning matters. This may involve informal advice, preparing heritage statements, designation (listing) and significance assessments, or more detailed work, such as writing conservation management plans, or appearing at a public inquiry (see Expert Witness). We can advise on the process of obtaining enhanced list descriptions, and drafting a new list entry to provide greater clarity on what is listed and what is not.

We are also able to advise on non-designated heritage assets (buildings or structures which have been identified as having some heritage significance, meriting consideration in planning decisions).

We work with private and public owners of listed buildings, the voluntary and charitable sectors, ecclesiastical organisations and commercial clients.
