This group of buildings, on the corner of Upper Regent Street and Margaret Street, are a key part of the London Borough of Westminster’s Regent Street Conservation Area, designated in 1973.
289-293 Regent Street was designed in 1924 by Colvin Tyler Armstrong in neo-Greek classical style; 295 Regent Street was added in similar style in 1934 to designs by the London architectural practice of E. Howard and Partners. 33 Margaret Street was constructed in 1933/4, and commissioned by the musical instrument makers Boosey and Hawkes.
AHP's report, for Donald Insall Associates, provided historic background and understanding on all three buildings, helping to ensure their sensitive redevelopment in future.
