Timber-framed cottage in Suffolk

This cottage was unsympathetically altered in the 1970s and is not listed. However it retains much of its original seventeenth-century timber frame, and forms part of the setting of other historic buildings, including a listed farmhouse. The cottage has been identified by the local authority as a non-designated heritage asset. AHP is working with the owner on a scheme which will reverse the unsympathetic changes and reinstate some of the building’s original architectural character, as well as providing new living accommodation alongside.
