Sussex seaside retreat

Old Haven was built as a Sussex holiday retreat by the Edwardian stage scenery painter Joseph Harker. It is a non-designated heritage asset, identified as a positive and pivotal building in the local conservation area. In 2018 Andrew Derrick, a director of AHP, represented local residents at an informal hearing, successfully opposing an application to demolish the house and replace it with a larger one. Client feedback was that AHP's contribution was 'game-changing' and 'played a key part in getting us to this strong dismissal of the appeal'.
