Lydia Wilson is a trained journalist with an MSc in Historic Conservation. From 1998 she worked in trade journals and newspapers as a reporter and feature writer, before joining the Phoenix Trust, a building preservation trust founded by the Prince of Wales, in 2002. After a year as an education officer at Heritage Information, a charity set up to encourage traditional building skills, she joined AHP. She has since contributed to a range of conservation plans, historic building reports and area-wide appraisals. She has also edited a number of conservation booklets, and written short publications on sustainable development and historic buildings, and traditional windows.
