An increasing emphasis is being placed on the importance of understanding in the management of historic assets. Applications for faculty or planning approval, or for grant aid, are now expected to be accompanied by Statements of Significance and, for major schemes, Conservation Statements and Conservation Plans. AHP has considerable experience in preparing such documents for places of worship in use, and also for those no longer needed for worship (such as those looked after by the Churches Conservation Trust).
