Frank Kelsall read history at Oxford and then joined the Historic Buildings Division of London County Council, transferring in 1986 to English Heritage, where he acted as Inspector of Historic Buildings for the North West including Manchester and Liverpool. He was a founding director of AHP, and cites building technology, urban domestic architecture and the history of conservation and town planning among his particular interests. Frank has had considerable experience of public inquiries, has served on many panels and committees, and has published widely on architectural history and conservation topics. He also acts as consultant to the Ancient Monuments Society. He is currently President of the Society of Architectural Historians of Great Britain.
